Gaming is not a simple hobby anymore. Every year companies like Electronic Arts spend millions of dollars on development of highly advanced video games. This industry is one of the most profitable and successful in the world. The games being developed nowadays require special hardware to function properly. In fact the gaming systems of today have more processing power than some early super computers. If you want to become a part of today's gaming community then you must purchase such a system.

Here you have a choice: you can purchase a robust computer with enough RAM and processing power or you can go for a gaming console. Both these options have some pros and cons and in this article we will find out which one is better for you.

Gaming Consoles

There are many advantages of using a console. First of all it costs way less than a high-end computer capable of running the latest titles. However if you want to upgrade your existing PC then the upgrades might actually save you some money.

Second of all purchasing a console isn't as hard as purchasing a PC. In the latter case the options are almost unlimited and finding the ideal machine can be hard especially if you are not familiar with all that technical jargon.

But a gaming computer has its own set of advantages.

Gaming Computers

A computer can do much more than just run some games. It can act as an entertainment power house. Plus you can run all your professional applications like Photoshop and Dreamweaver. For multitasking this option is much better.

The number of games available for PC are way more than the number of games on any console. That's because it is the oldest and most widely used platform. In other words you can enjoy a huge number of titles that console users can't.

In the end the choice is yours. No matter which platform you choose you can have a good time.
