You have a similar version called YLOD, the yellow light of death. This yellow light is a hint that your PS3 is experiencing a serious overheating problem. This is often a destructive event when the system's motherboard becomes overheated to a critical point. Inversely, the light can also mean the PS3 has been exposed to very cold storage conditions. The extraordinary cold could cause motherboard damage and cracked solder connections which will end in the YLOD being illuminated.
