Not too long back I suffered a serious problem with my PS3. Yup, all of the unexpected I was having a look at black screen on my television and was certain I had a broken PS3. You can reset your machine by powering your PS3 down, then holding the power button in for a total of five seconds. You need to hear a beep confirming that your system has been reset to defaults. After this makes sure you check all connections of your console. It is also an excellent idea to re-seat your drive by removing it and setting it back in.
