Sony has long been profitable having a venture into home video gaming systems. The ps1 and ps2 were both monumental in sales and modified the overall game in Sony's favor.
The present console generation is described as the 7th generation of consoles. Sony made its offering: The Playstation 3 on November 11 2006, later than Nintendo's Wii and Microsoft's XBOX 360 which in fact have both already made enormous gains in the market. Sadly up to now the PS3 hasn't met exactly the same success as both the playstation and playstation 2.
Nonetheless, I still encouraged the PS3 for its exceptional technology. The PS3 for example is the only gaming console to contain a blu-ray drive.
